I started my journey in book arts with a few classes in calligraphy and bookmaking and three dimensional paper objects with Alicia McKim of Denver. The painter Lee Lee and the photographer, video artist Beth Daniel helped me with printmaking and the inclusion of found objects. The workshops of Jill Berry, which are rich in the techniques of painting, paper and book page design, book binding and more, opened my eyes further to the possibilities of the visual journal.
