Old Louisville
FarmWorks Market
The Old Louisville FarmWorks Market is hosted by Walnut Street Baptist Church in the historic Old Louisville neighborhood on
Wednesday afternoons, 3 pm-6 pm.
The market hosts vendors who are farmers and producers from Kentucky and Indiana who bring their fresh-picked produce, plants, flowers, honey, preserves and food stuffs to sell in the city. This old-fashioned fresh market gives you a chance to meet the people who plant, grow, and harvest your food. The produce stays fresher longer and you will find unusual varieties of vegetables and fruits.
The produce is seasonal only---you will find greens in early season, tomatoes and berries in mid season and apples and pumpkins join the harvest at late season. July, August, and September provide a bountiful variety.
FarmWorks is an association of independent farmers from Kentucky and Indiana who have joined with citizens, chefs, churches, and not for profit groups to support Locally Grown and Produced. FarmWorks makes no profit from the farmers or patrons. FarmWorks Association began as a project of Leadership Louisville/Bingham Fellows 1996.
