This online exhibition brings together a selection of old and new work. Various media has been used to make marks - from the wild spontaneity of charcoal - to the naturalist’s-eye detail of watercolour. Creativity that responds directly to the ever changing but constant natural world started in the artist’s childhood. An undeniable sense of wonder at the diversity of life on earth continues in this exhibition. Artworks are created with a knowledge of field craft developed from childhood. Many sketches are completed in the field in journals which are a means of recording not only a detailed visual record but also thoughts and feelings. From sketches and photographs the paintings continue to evolve in the studio. A Member of: The Artists for Conservation Foundation .
