The Art Workshop
Of Western Sonoma County

Welcome to the Art Workshop

To learn more about the Art Workshop of Western Sonoma County, and how you can become a member, click on About AWS. To see photos from our exhibitions, click on the name of the show. And to see the work of some of our artists, click on AWS Artists Links, and visit their websites. Thank you for visiting; we hope you enjoy our artwork and camaraderie.

The picture above shows an exhibit of Art Workshop members’ work just before opening; the exhibit ran through the month of January 2004 at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts and was designed by our then president Denise Champion. You can see a small movie of the entire exhibit, while listening to Paganini’s Caprice, by clicking on AWS at SCA in the nav bar above—or here.

Interested in Joining AWS? Here’s How

We ask prospective members to attend two meetings to see what we do and decide if they are willing to participate and want to join us. Those interested in joining should contact the Membership Chair during their first visit to the club.

We are a participation club. Each member is expected to attend meetings and to serve on committees, to bring original works of art to share with the other members and to work on our annual art show.

When an interested person wants to join us after visiting a couple of meetings, the Membership Chair will give them information about the club that will explain the various club functions, along with a copy of the Constitution and By-Laws. The membership paperwork will be completed, and we will have a new member.

Currently, our annual dues are $30.00. There are fees for participating in our art shows as well.
