F.E.A.R = (First, Encounter, Assault, Re-con)
The F.E.A.R files is a stand alone expansion pack for the Xbox 360 Personally i am really looking forward to play this new branch of the F.E.A.R series. I loved the first game so i am hoping that the new expansions are awesome with the first games brilliant A.I and interesting Weapons both Extraction Point and Peaseus Mandate are shaping up to be a fun and terrifying way to pass a few hours by.
From what i have seen the two expansions are extensions of the original game, so if you are thinking of buying the “Files” be wary to get a full understanding of the story you will need to have played the first game.
Bullet-time game mechanics are a dime a dozen these days, but the wonderful arsenal of weapons, great A.I. and moody atmosphere of the F.E.A.R world keep this franchise at the head of the pack.
Some of the new features on the games are new weapons such as the arc gun, laser carbine, mini-gun, auto turret, and scope equipped advanced rifle, Adaptable AI (Which means the AI will become used to certain patterns that you might use, for example if a group of enemies are shooting at you and then you take cover behind a wall, the AI will not continue shooting at the wall they will send one or two of the “Bad Guys” to flank you.) and finally some new multiplayer maps to spice things up on Xbox live.
So the two F.E.A.R missions Extraction Point and Peaseus Mandate will provide the player with a unique fusion of stylized first-person shooter and supernatural suspense that will keep gamers at the edge of their seats.
