Five Star Mysteries (an imprint of Macmillan Library and Cengage) reported selling out of the hardcover’s first print run, and will go into a second hardcover printing to cover further orders. Scorch was published in summer 2008. Specifics about the number of copies sold to the public, bookstores, and libraries have yet to be released. All manuscript rights are scheduled to revert back to the author in May 2009.
THE VAMPIRE AGENT second printing
Book Two in the Annals of Alchemy and Blood will be back in bookstores soon. The initial print run sold out quickly and a second print run is scheduled to hit shelves this fall. “Our store sold out of the first print run almost immediately,” one buyer for Borders said. The buyer attributed increased orders and improved placement to blurbs by bestselling authors Tess Gerritsen and Rebecca York that appear on the front and back covers, as well as a growing following of the series’ cast of characters.

Sequel to SIN antho forthcoming
The follow-up to SIN will feature stories by Marc and other Chicago authors. The softcover anthology, entitled SEX, will not include erotica or pornography—rather, it will include stories that explore how sexuality affects people, culture, and attitudes. Like the anthology that proceeded it, SEX has already caused controversy even though the collection is still in the editing stage. Avendia Publishing plans to release SEX by summer; it will be available online and in specialty bookstores.
