Some of Our Other  Feature & Doc Titles
Paper or Plastic
Directed By Alex Da Silva and Justine Jacob
A really fun doc about competitive grocery bagging...really.  A little roots rock, country, and some groovin' fun music for a show about trying to be the best at what you do.

The Rape of Europa
Directed and By Bonnie Cohen, Richard Berge and Nicole Newnham
An important yet hardly known look at the fate of much of European art during World War II.   We used a European chamber orchestra for this score (99.9% sample free!) in the contemporary devotional style of Gorecki and Part, two of my heroes. CD Available.

Runners High
Directed By Alex Da Silva and Justine Jacob
An empowering documentary dealing with Bay Area urban youth training for the LA Marathon.  Rhythms made from running/shoe sounds complement authentic beats from the street.
Democracy, Afghan Style (fp)
PBS Independent Lens, Directed By Tamara Gould
Scored with the great Homayoun Satchi
Much like the documentary this was for, we used Western methods with an authentic Afghani ensemble and molded the music into a fitting score.  This documentary was about Western involvement with Afghanistan’s ongoing struggle to develop into a Democracy.
Haiku Tunnel
Sony Pictures Classics, Directed by Jacob and Josh Kornbluth
A very interesting stylistic/thematic combination for this eclectic office comedy feature, basically Punk and Gamelan, relating to the main character Josh's interior and exterior worlds, and the magic that can be conjured out of the mundane.
The Self-Made Man
Directed by Susan Stern
A very personal documentary for the filmmaker, this show delves into one man's "right to life" and its impact on his family.  The score had to support a very serious subject without feeling too somber.
Testosterone
Strand Releasing, Directed by David Moreton
In this dark comedic feature, an obsessed American pulp novel writer goes to Argentina in search of his jilted lover...what better than twisted rock tango?
The Nobel, Visions of Our Century
PBS, Produced by Actual Films
This documentary celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Nobel Prize.  It was a privilege to delicately underscore interviews of some of the greatest minds and souls on our planet.
(fp) = On these titles MarcoCo. provided full audio post (sound design, edit and mix) in addition to musical score.
We Live in Public
Sundance 2009 Grand Jury Prize Winner, Directed By Ondi Timoner
Scored with Ben Decter
A captivating, cautionary tale of the effect of the web on our everyday lives as seen through the eyes and exploits of Josh Harris, "the greatest Internet pioneer you've never heard of".
Double Dare

A kick-ass girl power doc about two stuntwomen at different stages in their career.
Interviews with Lynda Carter, Steven Spielberg, and Quentin Tarantino punctuate this
action filled real life drama of two women literally trying to break through the glass ceiling.
Blink (fp)
ITVS, National Emmy Winner, Directed by Elizabeth Thompson
Scored with Spencer Critchley
This powerful documentary deals with one man's demons of deep racism and his attempt at redemption.  Strong masculine and feminine themes were used much like ragas over drones in Eastern classical music.

This documentary celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Nobel Prize.  It was a privilege to underscore interviews of some of the greatest minds and souls on our planet.
They Drew Fire (fp)
Directed by Brian Lanker, Produced by Actual Films
A beautiful, almost reverent look at the lives of WWII field combat artists, the beauty of their work and the horror of their subjects.
Red Diaper Baby (fp)
The Sundance Channel, Directed by Doug Pray
This was a film of a live stage production about growing up as a Socialist Communist Jew in Manhattan.  With piano and string quartet, I tired to bring a little bit of the Iron Curtain to the Big Apple.
Highway Time (fp)
Directed by Kate Duhamel
What happens when you take people from all walks of life and assign them to mandatory clean up detail along a country road? Exchange of ideas, a little magic, and a lot of growth...
