THE UMBRELLA PROJECT OF EGON MARCH INSTITUTE IN THE FRAME OF X-OP NETWORK
Electropera is a caravan of artists and their works travelling on a tour between a certain set of places and venues. The project will be realized by a group of internationally acclaimed artists, operators and curators, who will join their selected productions under the synchronization umbrella of Egon March Institute.
The works are chamber oriented performances, concerts, installations, screenings and exhibitions, symposias, workshops and presentations. Regarding open spaces, urban and rural, site specific interventions and land-art works will be encouraged.
Beside active appearances, video, documentary and internet - platform artists and experts are to accompany the touring groups, both to build up the documentation, webcasts, and technical backup for the artists and to help operators at multi purpose venues.
For the period of electroperabil caravan in action, we will enhance support for alternative ways of travel between the places - including electric vehicles, balloons, boats, bikes and walking routes. local and on the way participants will offer guiding to interesting places and storytelling for the sights propagated along the tour.
The beauty of the project is in coordination of international set of artists to form their appearances in a time - space conducted composition, which provides an optimal time - energy investment for the actors, as well as best internal timing for the operators of multi-functional venues along certain topographicly spread routes. in practice - a caravan of events will travel one by one in the suitable time intervals to fit in an enhanced weekly program of several venue operators. the goal of the project is to introduce an open source of information and synchronization tools among artists and operators, suitable for public use.
