Arrogant Bastard Ale
Death Valley contains innumerable natural wonders. There was, however, one unnatural wonder worth noting. Arrogant Bastard Ale. I stumbled upon this brew when I stopped at the Panamint Springs Lodge for a drink after a seven hour drive from Los Angeles. I pieced together this stream of consciousness mock advertisement in the beautiful surroundings of Death Valley.

Vicarious
There’s a song by Tool called Vicarious. It’s off of their latest CD, 10,000 Days, which is a must buy if you dig heavy, riff-laden metal with grooves that will absolutely maim you. Anyway, I’ve got the tune on my iPod, in my car CD player, and I’ve heard it about 500 times. And yet the lyrics just struck me, like a sledgehammer, yesterday. DEEP & MEANINGLESS...
The enigmatic hit “Jackie Blue” is my current “Song Obsession”. I go through periods where I become absolutely obsessed with a particular song, which will captivate, inspire, and move me in ways that only music can. I’ll hear the thing in my head constantly, and do crazy shit like create a playlist on my ipod that repeats the tune ad infinitum. It will form the “soundtrack of my life” for a period of time.
