How to texture a Medieval Church.
Lighting covered next tutorial.

First change your Selection mode to faces.
For the first part of the tutorial i will go into detail on texturing but the rest will mostly be information on what textures i
used where. Now select all of the parallel faces that will be textured a brick texture, in this case all the walls. To select
multiple faces select the faces while holding down the shift key. Now load the Brick texture. and apply it. While the
textures are selected make sure the “as one” box is checked in the “properties” panel. BEFORE SCALING make sure
you click on the “center within face” button or else the textures will not look correct and will not fit correctly. For my
Church i used a scale of 0.3 however if you are using a different texture or don’t like it that size feel free to use
something different.
Next select the front, front inside, back inside and back faces. Apply the Brick Texture and give it a scale of 0.3.
Next select one side of the roof, only the two bottom faces. Apply the texture and use a scale of 1. You can also move Y Shift around some to make it look better, this is in the properties window while a face is selected. In my case the Y Shift was 8. Do this to the top also but in this case I just used the “Justify Top” button to align it to the top. Do this to the other side as well.
Now select the faces of one of the edges on the roof. Apply the BearBeam32x512 texture and if your roof is at a 45 degree angle set the rotation to 45 degrees + or - depending on what side you are texturing with a scale of 0.5. Do this to all of the edges. Also apply this texture to the inner edge of the roof and also the over hanging part.
On the inside of the Church apply the BearBeam32x512 texture to the beams across the roof.
For the floor apply the PlanksFloor512 texture with a scale of 0.5.
Apply the BarnPlanks512 texture to the roof at a scale of 0.25.
Apply the Brick texture to the arches, but not to the arch itself. There will be another texture used for it that I will discuss latter.
For the stairs use the Brick texture. I used a scale of 0.15625.
Select the parallel sides of the steeple, do not select any of the arch. Apply the Brick texture with a scale of 0.3. Also apply it to the “floor”.
Apply the TileRoof Texture to the top of the steeple. Scale it to 0.8 also rotate it 180 degrees and click “Justify Top” which since it is inverted will justify it to the bottom. Do this to all 4 sides. Also apply the BarnPlanks512 texture to the underside of the top of the steeple.
For all of the arches I have made a special texture because texturing arches can be hard. Apply the bricktrim2 texture to the arches with the a scale of 0.25.
