This picture was really taken during a Doctoral Seminar in June 2007. It is the archipelago of Åboland in South West Finland, specifically the Island of Fagerholm, The old pilot station, right between Nagu and Korpo Islands. I think it is a perfect place to stage a doctoral seminar on—a Pilot Station. Doctoral seminars are supposed to help the student navigate in the often very rocky archipelago of academic theory–islands.
