The studio
• BRUCE EDWARDS was born & raised in Canada. He attended Vancouver City College and the Vancouver School of Art (now known as Emily Carr). He then spent a year traveling worldwide. Bruce has been a resident of the Snoqualmie Valley in Washington State since 1983 where he is the sole proprietor of Magi-Graphics. His mural and art instruction projects done with children and adults are extensive and appear statewide. Bruce has shown his artwork throughout the state of Washington as well as Alaska, Hawaii and British Columbia. He has had numerous private commissions, and been engaged in public art with elementary students. He is presently instructing with the Seattle based, Senior’s Making Art program, (Instructor of the Year 2005). Bruce also teaches two credit drawing classes at Seattle’s Frye Museum, where he has been an instructor since 1999.
• From September 2001- July 2002 Bruce painted and taught at the American International School of Lome, Togo, West Africa.
• February. & March 2002 - Bruce and his wife, Deborah teamed up to create two large all school murals with children at the Lone Man School of the Oglala Sioux Reservation South Dakota.
• December 2003, designed and painted 30 foot mural Homer, Alaska.
• November 2005, designed and painted 24 foot mural in Tucson, Arizona.
•November 2006, designed and painted four fanciful “Trolls” for the Duvall - Woodinville Bridge in Duvall, Washington.
•December 2008, commission from WA State’s Evergreen Hospital for 6 large watercolor paintings destined for the new Duvall Clinic. (see new works in watercolor)
These web pages are intended to introduce you to my artwork. I live in the Snoqualmie Valley about 35 miles east of Seattle. We are in the foothills of the Cascade mountains, a beautiful and inspirational place.
