God takes care of everyone in time of need, His love never quits. Thank God who did it all! His love never quits! Psalm 137:25-26

EVANGELISM AND GROUPS
This time of year in the DR is one wet time of year! A lot of outdoor activities are at the mercy of the weather. That’s why it is so wonderful to have weather that cooperates when a group is in the country. This fall we had another visit from Otter Creek, who spent part of their week out at the camp and the other part in Rio San Juan. Otter Creek are supporters of TJ and Holly and they wanted to be able to spend time in RSJ assisting the McClouds in the MannaDR outreach center. They brought in a lot of creativity to share with the Pescadores, the Princesses, and the Chicitos. A very poor family had their dilapidated home spruced up as well. This week was not only different in the split locations, but I was the “Big Blue” driver in Brian’s absence. I’d prayed and prayed that the weather would hold out and not muck up the back roads to Bobita, and my prayers were answered!!
We also had a very special visitor, Caroline Martin, who’s interned for us in the past and made several trips to the DR; bring in her friends, Mary and Marylin to give an artistic flare to the community center and the hospital in Puerto Plata. Future groups will be able to enjoy these murals on their visits to these locations.
The first time ever MannaDR Christmas Pagent in Rio San Juan was held this year and was a great success. With lots of planning and directing from TJ and Holly, “their kids” put on a performance of a life time.

Children’s homes

We have seen such wonderful progress with the children in the homes. Having a scheduled time to do their homework and school projects has helped in the discipline and attentiveness of many of the kids. The younger ones are able to have more one on one time with Cory and Laura Beth and are learning to read and write and advancing to their age level.

All the children of the homes receive a Magi gift, but in addition to that, the Lambs held a Christmas party for all with part favors and a pair of red or green Crocs donated from the states. They watched the Polar Express and had a great time.

Jarisa, our oldest girl in the homes, has received an invitation by one of our families, who visit the DR work, to come and live with them and attend university in the States. This is such a blessing. We are now needing to get a passport, visa, documentation and the like in order to move towards this goal. Please pray for this to become a reality as this is such a wonderful opportunity for Jarisa and her family.

Personal

It’s been a long quarter...
Holding down the fort in Brian’s absence, has been a huge task, but staying busy has helped the time go by that much quicker.
Had a very sad occurrence when one of our furry family members died. We’ll miss Maximus very much.

Brian has benefited from the language course, but like most would have hoped to have accomplished more. We see the Lord using that opportunity not only to learn a language, but to be there to share the Good News with others who’ve passed through the school from all over the world in search of answers to their lives. Pray for those that have had a seed planted in their minds and hearts that they will allow God to show them His love.
I love the end of the year when we are able to meet up with our family and spend time with them. We’ve all been able to gather in Florida coming from the DR, Guatemala, New Zealand, Texas, Virginia, and Vermont.
Hope you all had special moments to remember in the years to come.
Because of Him,
Brian and Tammie

We also had Norm Curington, who has been attending language school in Santiago, volunteer his time and energy to help us distribute the Magi gifts sent in from many brothers and sisters in Christ from the States.  Several new villages were added to the list this year and it was great to see the joy on these young people’s faces.
It’s been great having the McClouds, Lambs, and good friend, Norm Curington near by and to have the fellowship we have in working together, and spending down time together.  It was good to share a Thanksgiving meal with them before they headed to the capital to   visit the old city, and a shoulder to cry on at the loss of Max.
