Get the most from mac.nz:

Email notifications – email me from this link to be added to the private mac.nz email notification list. whenever a change is added to the mac.nz site, including reviews etc, you will receive an email containing a link to new pages.

To remove yourself from the email notification link, just email me and ask to be removed.

Make mac.nz your home page – just go to the front page of mac.nz and bookmark the page. To make it your home page, so that every time you open Safari you get the mac.nz news page, open Preferences in the Safari menu and click Set to Current Page under the General tab.

Widget reminder – Apple added a Dashboard widget feature for you to tailor to keep track of sites in Safari. To use this on mac.nz, go to the front page in Safari, choose Open in Dashboard from the File menu, drag the marquee that appears over the top item in the news, drag the corners to customise and press your Enter key. Now at a press of F12 (or whatever you use to launch Dashboard widgets) you can asses the latest item added to the news page. (Of course, you can use this method for any sites you like to keep an eye on.)

RSS – click the blue RSS button on the news page to add mac.nz to your preferred RSS reader (Safari, Mail, NetNewsWire etc). Real Simple Syndication (RSS) allows users with news readers (including Apple’s Safari web browser) to see when sites have added new content. In other words can check the latest headlines, reviews and other content in one place, as soon as they it’s published, without having to visit each site every day to see what takes your interest.
