Lyouba Assadourova
is the artist behind LOVE44. She is born in Varna, Bulgaria in 1976 and her name means LOVE in her native tongue. 44 is the number of the apartment building in Chaika where Lyouba spent her childhood years dreaming about life on the other side of the iron curtain. She arrived in New York City in year 2000 with $30 in her pocket chasing the dream she and her best friends had in high school - to be artists in New York City. The Big Apple with all of its colors, culture, rhythm, and character has been an inspiration to Lyouba since the early 80’s. Currently she’s working and residing in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.
