Doodle 4 Google - Entry Deadline April, 2008

The Doodle 4 Google competition is open to all students in U.S. schools from kindergarten to grade 12 and will be judged in the following brackets:

    * Grades K - 3
    * Grades 4 - 6
    * Grades 7 - 9
    * Grades 10 - 12

NOTE: Our school can only submit up to six entries so a group of teachers will be asked to select the finalists.  We will try to represent an even spread of grade levels (that participate).

Design guidelines

    * The doodle should be presented on a white, landscape sheet of 8.5 x 11 inch paper,
    * You can download the Google logo template from our Lesson Resources page. (You can also see Mrs. Horne for this.
    * The winning doodle will be displayed on our U.S. homepage, so the Google logo should be clearly visible and recognizable.
    * The doodle can be in pencil, crayons, felt tip or paint, or can be done using computer drawing or design software.
    * Please create original designs.  Be inspired by Dennis Hwang, creator of Google Doodles, but don't recreate his designs.
    * Along with creating a doodle, students need to write a title for their doodle and a supporting What if....? vision.    (If you are one of the 6 drawings selected from our school, you will also be asked to write a statement of up to 50 words explaining your "What if....?" vision.)
