Students refreshed their clay handbuilding skills at the start of the quarter by making practice tiles. Student experimented with texture and building up layers to create a relief. Below are some of the whimsical face tiles that were completed during the first weeks of class. These tiles will also be used to practice different glazing techniques before working on larger, long-term projects.
