Lynda’s Way
Lynda’s Way
Every journey comes with bends in the road, speed bumps, and obstacles to work around. Mine is no different. As I settle into two diverse ministries, I face the universal question: Am I able?
The answer is a resounding “no.” Like threading my way through a minefield would be, so is working my way through the complexities of each task, especially where the task comes in contact with people. Relationships require a strong but delicate touch.
Such is the journey of life—there is no way to avoid the people because the people are the reason for the journey. As believers in Jesus Christ, we are commissioned to participate in God’s redemptive mission, his plan to restore what was lost at the beginning of time. And that means people. I can hardly deal with my own humanity, let alone someone else’s. But thanks be to God, the promise is still true: “I can do everything through him [Christ] who gives me strength” —Philippians 4:13, NIV.
Divine Design for Daily Living is a devotional study which will take you through the entire Bible in one year. You will have the opportunity to read assigned Scriptures each day, read what was significant to me in those verses and then, by answering three simple questions, journal what was significant to you from that passage.
