I won’t go over silly questions like those email surveys - what’s your favorite ice cream flavor, favorite movie...etc. Instead, I’ll get to the nitty gritty :) Why do I play music? Mostly as a release when I’m sad (that’s when I write most of my songs). I love the analogy of a burning log releasing it’s song caused by the trapped sap that ‘sings’ once the flames get to it. The same thing happens to me with music: I can play, and I enjoy to play anytime; but the really sweet songs come from life’s fires bringing them out. I love watching movies at night, drinking coffee with friends, playing in the sprinklers with my two kiddos, and jamming with my love in our music room. Life is pretty good - and all because God gave it to us as a gift to enjoy. |
