Frodo and Sam are my first breeder rats.  They were bred by Emma Sims under the mentorship of Epiphany Stud.

 

Sam is a huge rat who definitely takes after his father, Tank.  He’s quite an active rat when he’s in the playpen so most of his weight is muscle.

 

Sam is a very good-natured boy who loves people and will happily sit and be stroked and scritched for as long as you can keep it up.  Definitely a rat who enjoys his creature comforts, Sam loves lounging around in his saggy fleece hammock (which just about manages to bear his weight).

 

Sam won Best Silvered at the 2007 NFRS Boscombe Down Show.

 

Sam shares a Critter 3 cage with his brother Frodo and Sméagol and Déagol.
