Women Alive
Women Alive is a coalition of, by and for women living with HIV/AIDS. We understand the pain and fear, how easy it is to hide, how difficult it can be to come to terms with this disease and reach out. Women Alive is the means we have created to help us connect with each other, bring others like us out of isolation, exchange information about HIV treatments, and take charge of our lives, our care, and our destiny.


Black AIDS Institute
he Black AIDS Institute is a national "think tank" focused on addressing HIV/AIDS among African Americans and those of African descent through policy, advocacy, communications, training, and model program development.

Located in Atlanta, GA, the CDC is an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services. The CDC serves as the national focus for developing and applying disease prevention and control, environmental health, and health promotion and education activities designed to improve the health of people of the United States.


The AMASSI Center
AmASSI is a non-profit, community based health, wellness and cultural affirmation center. AmASSI is an acronym for the African American Advocacy, Support-Services & Survival Institute. We provide preventive health for HIV/AIDS, STDs, cancer, diabetes, etc., psychological and therapeutic assistance and math and literacy tutoring, skills building opportunities and empowerment. At the AmASSI Center, community members are culturally respected and affirmed, and all services are free and low cost.


In The Meantime Men’s Group
We seek to address the psychological, spiritual and physical well-being of a community that is
oftentimes isolated and excluded. Among our activities are ongoing support groups that focus
on mental, physical and spiritual growth and development; HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention workshops; and a weekly discussion group that provides a safe space to discuss a variety of topics that include intimacy, relationships, race relations, homophobia, and community economics.
 
In addition, In the Meantime sponsors several annual events that include a men's retreat,
Kwanzaa celebration, King Day Celebration and a Men's Conference on Health and Wellness.

Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center

The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center provides a broad array of services for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community.  Health services include free or low cost HIV/AIDS medical care, individual and group counseling, HIV/STD testing and prevention, and alternative insemination.
The Center also offers legal, social, cultural, and educational services, with unique programs for seniors, families and youth, including a 24-bed transitional living program for homeless youth.


California AIDS Clearinghouse
The mission of the California AIDS Clearinghouse (CAC) is to provide appropriate and culturally sensitive technical assistance, educational materials, and support services to Education & Prevention Programs (E&P), and Test Sites funded by the State of California, Department of Health Services, Office of AIDS and non-profit organizations in California. The Clearinghouse will take a leadership role in developing a direct partnership with E&P and HIV Testing Programs in order to create support services and educational materials that are culturally sensitive, language appropriate, and meet the educational needs of these programs. In addition, the Clearinghouse has the responsibility of promoting understanding, communication, and involvement among all members of the community, to improve the quality of HIV/AIDS educational materials.

Minority AIDS Project is the first community-based HIV/AIDS organization established and managed by people of color in the United States.  Archbishop Carl Bean and members of the Unity Fellowship Church founded MAP in 1985.

Minority AIDS Project’s mission is to reduce suffering and deaths due to HIV infection in the African American and Latino communities by making HIV/AIDS related health services and education available and accessible to them.
