Another great education on a Jim Abernethy Scuba Adventures shark trip.
We joined shark friends and sailed to some remote locations to see these beautiful sharks.
I was nervous because I bought into the false claims about the oceanic whitetip sharks.
After the first dive I was embarrassed by believing people that don’t know what they are talking about.
Of course when diving with sharks you always treat the shark with respect. You keep an eye on them and enjoy their beauty.
Throughout the dives we had at the least 3 whitetips , at the most we had 12.
Neither side were prey or predator, competitor or enemy. Both sides were curious and we were obviously more excited about seeing them than they were seeing us.
I have included some pictures below that Mary took of me with a shark or two.
We also saw duskies, blues, reef sharks, tigers sharks, a lemon, schools of tuna and some marlin.
Thank you to Jim, Jamin, Ed, Mike and Bob.
Because of you and the sharks, we’ll be back.
