Bookings 2007

(Afternoon: 11:30pm-4pm) There’s nothing like a holiday afternoon to bring out the family and friends to help celebrate nuptials.  Tristin and John will be having fun for 100 of those folks in the garden, then hosting the reception inside - in the parlors of the first floor, filled with antiques and victorian elegance.-wk.

UPDATE:  The wedding was fabulous- Great weather, not a hint of rain or super-hot weather.  We learned a lot about this cool couple- both are musicians and one of the members of their band was the officiant for the ceremony!  From the Lumber Baron Recommended list, the luncheon was catered by the creative stylings of Mark Millenson (by far the best service of the summer so far!), wonderful flowers by Diz’s Daisys, music by Sweetness & Co., cake by Masterpiece Cakes.  And you should have seen the couple’s getaway car--awesome!-wk

Update: 6/18: Hi Julie and Walter, thanks for making our wedding day so great!  We sure had a fabulous time and really enjoyed ourselves at your beautiful home!  Below is a link to some of the work that our photographer did, she is a stellar photographer and I wanted to give you her info in case you'd like to add her to your list.  Her work is beautiful and artsy, she's very professional and warm, and she made the whole process smoother.  She even helped me bustle my dress and she gave us a quick lesson on how to cut the wedding cake!  We were so impressed with her and her work and we'd love for other couples to have the great experience with her that we did.  Here is her contact info and website for more information about her:

Update: 6/19: Hi Julie (& Walter),

I just wanted to reiterate what Tristin said in her email.  First off, I wanted to comment that all of our friends and family absolutely fell in love with the Lumber Baron Inn.  They couldn't say enough about the house and how beautiful the garden was and that it was the perfect place to host a wedding.  We can't thank you enough for all that you did!

Secondly, I'd like to commend you on your recommended providers list...all of them were absolutely fantastic!  That list really made the task of trying to find vendors, in the vast vendor-ocean, that much easier.  We had a great experience with all of them.

Because we had such a good experience with the recommended vendors, and because we had such a great experience with our photographer, I'd also like to recommend that our photographer, Paige Elizabeth, be added to your recommended providers list.  She lives right in the Highlands neighborhood (up the street from Parisi), is an absolute joy to work with, couldn't be a nicer person, and as evidenced by her work...she takes classy, top-notch photographs.  She was professional throughout the process, catered to our vision, and was able to ease our minds during the wedding.  I know you guys must get a ton of referrals, but hopefully you'll take our word that Paige is top-notch!

Thanks again!,

John Rodrigues
