I revel in this creative process. I've written two cookbooks, The Herb Garden Cookbook and Tequila! Cooking with the Spirit of Mexico, and numerous articles for magazines.
I also design gardens and interiors, transforming homes and gardens to fit the expressions of the owners.
My colorful lectures, presented at many venues across the country, inspire others to turn everyday meals and ordinary spaces into celebrations. PBS shows have toured my outdoor garden "rooms'', including a mermaid grotto, a tequila cantina, and ethnic theme gardens. They have also featured my festive Mexican Day of the Dead altar.
