Meet Linda & Victor

May 13, 1990 was when it all started.

We shook hands in the Chili’s parking lot, were engaged in less than six weeks and married 11 months later. Whew.

Since then, we’ve had our share of regrets (why did I marry this person, anyway?) and delights (how did I ever live without you?). We’ve ‘been there, done that’ with ex-spouses, kids and step-kids, career changes, health issues - heck, we even built a house together!

It was rocky for a long while. But we finally learned to use the wisdom we gained from therapists, books, relationship retreats, coaching and our own experience. That translates to a marriage that is deeply satisfying and growing stronger every day.

We think everyone deserves this kind of marriage or primary relationship. Especially you.

Victor and Linda in Hawaii

Victor L. Roggli, MD is a renowned pulmonary pathologist who specializes in diagnosing diseases caused by asbestos and lung cancer. He is a professor at Duke University Medical School and recently retired from the VA Medical Center in Durham. Although Victor has a slew of honors and publications to his credit (he's a real smart guy) NONE of them have anything to do with this site.

His claim to relationship fame is the 180-degree turnaround in his attitude and action toward marriage, partnership and commitment. He was willing to jump into a new way of thinking -- and it worked! He ALWAYS has a smile and he tells great jokes (OK, the same ones over and over, but still...). Everybody - even his mother-in-law - likes Victor!

The Roggli back story

Victor

Was raised on a farm in Tennessee (so THAT’s where that southern twang comes from); two sisters, one brother. He has one daughter, one son-in-law (it’s the big 3-1 for daughter this year).

Linda

Was raised on a farm in Illinois (so THAT’s where that Midwestern accent comes from); one brother, two sons, one daughter-in-law. Her sons will be 33 and 31 this year (gulp). And though

she’s not crazy about the implications, she’s gonna be a grandma this year...yikes.
