Krystal booked me two years ago, so it’s been a long road of planning for her. She took advantage of that time to add lots of special treats to her wedding. The wedding was held at the Brome Howard Inn in Historic St. Mary’s City. It’s a beautiful property set alongside the water. Thankfully, because they were married on what was probably the hottest day of the year so far. I was sweating like a madwoman and looked like I had just run a marathon by the middle of her wedding. But they were troopers about doing some fun photos and think they turned out great. Enjoy!

Alice and Luke

I swear I think Alice was just about the most laid-back bride I have ever seen. She threw her hair into an updo, had a friend put in some flowers, put on some make-up and jumped in a car off to St. Alban’s Church. She married Luke and then braved the wet grounds of the National Cathedral to do photos. Then off to the reception at Chevy Chase Country Club. Congrats!

How to make a mid-week wedding that is absolutely fabulous. Jeanie and Chris certainly made their small mid-week wedding as elegant and beautiful as any weekend wedding. They had a quick ceremony on the lawn of the Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michael’s, MD followed by a candlelit dinner for their closest family and friends. The table was set with the Inn’s best china and candles and flowers filled all the open spaces. Check it out:

Beth and Brendan

Beth and Brendan were so thrilled to be getting married that they gave the friend who introduced them to each other a medal at their wedding. It said “I did this” and he proudly wore it all night long. Brendan is among a rare breed of guys who really loves weddings and who really wanted to be married. When he met Beth, it took only 5 months before they both knew that this was it for him. They celebrated with lots of great things to help make their day unique. What makes this wedding so important to me is that it’s the 2nd Terry family wedding for me. I photographed Beth’s sister, Katie’s wedding at the same site five years ago. The site is their parent’s historic family home in Western Howard County. An ideal setting for a wedding, it was probably a no-brainerb for Beth. There were a few changes this time around. They hired the co-ordinating team of Bella Bridal- Alisa and Lisa. They held an air-guitar contest complete with a trophy with a Barney guitar on it. An impromptu limbo contest revealed an amazingly talented group of guests. So many warm wishes going out to you Terry and Brendan! (By the way- we share the same anniversary date!)

Amy & Brian. Ying & Yang. Black & White. Salt & Pepper. Sweet & Sour. They all make sense. If you were there to listen to what Amy & Brian said about one another during the ceremony, the tears would be rolling down your cheeks. That’s how much they belong together. That’s how much they love each other. And to share their deep love and devotion for one another, they put on an incredible affair to remember at the stately Engineers Club in Baltimore. In the background hinted sweet sounds of swing , while every room was utilized with something fun to eat or do. Every aspect of this wedding was incredibly well thought out and executed beautifully.
