Worship

An integral part of our Sunday morning service is worshiping God in the form of singing and playing instruments.  Just as King David celebrated extravagantly before God, so we too pour ourselves out before the Lord in song.

Worship shifts our focus from people, possessions, and problems to a fresh vision of the Lord.  As we gather as God's church and lift a sweet sound to His ears, we welcome the Him to be with us.

Singing together as his church stirs His Spirit and we become of one accord.  Our time of worship is a glorification of the One - and intimacy rather than ritual is realized.

Our God eagerly desires a relationship with each and every one of us - ritual sacrifices based in mindless, heartless activity mean nothing!  It is when we open ourselves up to God, bearing all our burdens, guilt, and shame in honesty that we can draw near to Him.

"Living in worship" is the key.  Oh, to realize that worship is not a once-a-week habit.  It removes the veil and we can truly see!  The Word has healing power.  So too the Word sung in praise and worship to Him has healing power.

"...they raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang:  He is good; his love endures forever."
