Oftentimes, it seems as though we spend the first half of our lives “finding our way,” through a world that hurts us, entices us, then abandons us alongside a dark road leading to nowhere good.

Then Jesus finds us, and we are brought into God’s family.  The next half of our life is spent trying to “heal” from the damage inflicted upon us from others and ourselves.  This can be a frustrating journey, as we know that God wants to have a close relationship with us, but we feel so distant and disconnected with Him because of the confusion and pain which lurks inside.  Frequently our pain can be masked by addiction, compulsion, depression, among other things which actively work against the reality of having an intimate relationship with God.

Still, in the midst of this pain and confusion, we know that every person has been created to fulfill a specific mission for God during their time on earth, and that our true fulfillment and reason-for-being is found when we are living out our “created purpose.”  God desires for us to find our peace with Him, because He has ordained that we be the hands and feet of Christ to serve a broken world.

The Beacon Church exists to empower followers of Jesus to fulfill their unique mission for Him.  This means that one of our most treasured goals is to draw people into an intimate relationship with God.  If there is sin, addiction, or other impediments to this relationship, and those who are wounded desperately want to be free by the power of Jesus Christ, we are here to come alongside

to listen, nurture, teach, and pray with you through it.

Personal Prayer Ministry Appointments (PPMAs) are not counseling.  No one will give you advice.  Rather, caring, trained, Spirit-led instructors will take a confidential history, and by God’s leading will teach and guide regarding God’s Biblical truth in each circumstance.  As God’s truth becomes realized, and the roots of deceiving destructive patterns have been exposed, prayer is administered (the weeds are pulled, and God’s seeds of promise are planted).  Realization, confession, forgiveness, and Spirit-led prayer releases the foreboding tentacles of darkness, and welcomes the freedom and light of Jesus Christ, according to God’s purposes and plan.

As followers of Jesus, we will remain beside you through the entire process.  Each believer in Jesus Christ is deserving of an intimate relationship with God; to be empowered by Him

to fulfill their “created purpose” on earth.
