Unstoppable Lorrin Inspires Others

Lorrin participated with 250 typical young ladies in The 2007 Miss Pre-teen Nationals   Pasadena Pageant.

What an event this was.  Lorrin went through an interview process to be accepted into the pageant.  Thank you to those who sponsored her and supported this event.  Lorrin had a great time and met many of the other young ladies.  She looked beautiful and remained awake and alert during the entire event.  You Go Girl!!!

Lorrin and a few of her friends went to Build-A-Bear and made 8 bears to take as gifts for the children who live at Horizon House.  Wanda Kruft who oversees two homes in Ventura, for children who are unique, is an amazing woman.   Lorrin’s old classmate and boyfriend brought us to the home about 8 years ago.  We  always enjoy our visits to Horizon House.  Last Christmas I wanted one of the girls to come home with us.  Lorrin gave me the jealous stink eye.  It’s all about Lorrin.  To find out more about Horizon House call Wanda Kruft at 805-659-5412

Aaron Fotheringham on the left is an amazing  guy.  You can find him all over You Tube doing wheel chair back flips.   Just added to  the Guinness  world records.  He is totally down to earth.   Lorrin was lucky enough to meet him and hang out a little bit.  He loved Nicolette.  You can see one of his You Tube spots by clicking below.

For those of you who know Lorrin know just how much she loves to have fun.  It was a huge surprise to me that Lorrin was about to turn 15 but no surprise that she wanted to have a party.  She wanted a big party with a big dress.  We celebrated her 15th  birthday by having a Quinceanera with 100 of her closest friends.

LORRIN,

You are the peanut to my butter

the controller to my halo

the guitar to my hero

the blue in my sky

the dirt on my ground

and the color in my world

Lorrin

You are my everything...

Lorrin has managed to play hooky this year.  She has been on home school since November.  I have managed to take her to; Big Sur, Monterey, Yosemite, The Stage Coach Country Concert, The Getty Museum and  the La Brea Tar Pits.  As a proper teenage she is still bored.

Sequoia Middle School hosted it’s second annual Ability Awareness Week.  Sequoia was lucky enough to have Samuel Nehemiah be our kick off speaker at the opening ceremony.   Please take time to visit his website.  What an amazing story and beautiful person.  Samuel is from Nigeria and donates wheel chairs to his home country.

Our mission statement

It is our mission to share our life story in hopes to support other children and their families who are living a unique life experience.  It is our goal to raise awareness of the power and importance of all unique souls.   I believe that Lorrin is here to pave the way to a grander attitude of love and acceptance for all.  It is my honor  as her parent to help spread her life’s message of love and forgiveness.
