My Obtronix Apple 1 clone

**UPDATE** I have converted some old basic games (Batnum, Nicoma and 23-Matches) from ‘Creative Computing’ basic games book to run on the Apple 1, and you can download them from here.

**UPDATE** I recently purchased a serial board from Vince Briel, of Briel Computers. This card can be used to transfer data between modern computers (my Powerbook G4) and the Apple 1 (or Replica 1).

**UPDATE** I have recently had the pleasure of beta testing one of Richard Dreher’s CFFA for Apple 1 cards with my machine. It is truly a great product. Check out his page here.

Below you can see my hand built Obtronix Apple 1 clone. The basic kit was produced by Steve Gabaly who was auctioning them off on ebay. It is almost an exact replica of Steve Wozniak’s original 1976 version. Steve later produced a copy of the Apple 1 cassette interface.

The Apple 1 is considered by many to be one of the most beautifully designed boards ever made...Classic! You can find out more at www.applefritters.com. Here you can also download manuals and software.
