Father’s Day Weekend
Saturday June 17, 2006

Many families turn Father’s Day into an annual trip to Lone Oak for the Don Taylor
Trailer Maneuvering Contest. Every Dad wants to be the best but there can only
be one winner.

Peter Brown greets the drivers.....
and explains the rules.
Rich takes the wheel.
There is a 5 second penalty for burn outs.......
and pole touches.
John had some coaching from his boys.
Brent drove a good race........
but suffered one penalty and lost the 3rd place trophy.
Ken and two others were the only ones.....
not to lose time to penalties.
Ed drove a perfect race.....
the crowd cheered.......
and his son looked proud!
Allen took two penalties even with an extra set of eyes!
Mark and Vinny did a good job under pressure!
John started with high hopes.....
and in just seconds the dream of First Place......
came crashing down!
“Where did I go wrong?”
Joey handles repairs to the course.
Donny, son of the Don Taylor.....
failed miserably.
Ray, a two year champion of the ADTTM contest....
took a penalty right out of the gate.
A great score of 35.41 seconds.
But is it good enough?
It was a short course.....
but somehow.....
the drivers kept losing their way.
Mark was a hesitant contestant......
but he took the wheel.....
and really made it happen!
Tom and his co-drivers.......
drove a good race.
Ralph took the kids for support.......
but missed a turn!
Pete and Heidi go over the results.
Mark, the reluctant driver took 3rd place with a time of 47.47 seconds.
Ray, with a time of 35.41 seconds.....
took the 3rd place trophy.
(Better luck next year)
And introducing the 2006 Trailer Maneuvering champion (time 31.97 seconds).....
Ed Bleau!
Great Driving
See you next June!
