Lauren Mote, Editor & Founder

Lauren has been an intricate part of the food industry for many years. Whether it’s behind the bar, in the kitchen, tasting and learning about wine, or sitting with her laptop writing food stories and reviews at the local coffee house, it was clear at an early age that Lauren’s professional and personal life would be completely consumed by the joy and passion of edibles.

Amy L. Parker, Written Word Magician.

Amy has been enjoying the spectacular restaurants and weather of Vancouver for over five years now. No day off is complete, no holiday planned without careful consideration of the food. Reservations for one more please! When she isn't writing, here at her desk, you'll find her having coffee with friends or enjoying a quiet movie from the back row of the theatre. Shhhh!

Jessica Grajczyk, Breakfast & “Cheap Eats” Expert

Jessica is not only recognized by her peers as one of the greatest breakfast correspondents of our time, but she is also well versed in a variety of other textual skills ranging from lifestyle journalism to copywriting. Her love affair with writing began at a young age and flourished throughout her academic career, eventually culminating in an Honours Degree in Communications, which now serves its purpose as a pretentious and debatably useful framed piece of paper on her bedroom wall.  She has a reputation for turning the blandest of subjects into the most glorious prose, and also for being modest.

Steve Venegas, Food & Culture Sleuth

Steve was born in the middle of the afternoon in Vancouver, BC. After a brief stint as a child in South America, he spent his formative years in Calgary, Alberta, where his interest in the printed word lead him to Journalism School at Mount Royal College. Now that he's graduated and back in Vancouver, he writes for Swerve Magazine in Calgary, Music-Critic.ca online, Beatroute Magazine, and the Vancouver Observer where he holds the title of Arts and Culture Editor. Steve lives with his girlfriend and two dogs. They don't like his cooking.
