Life:  Theme 2008

“I have fought the good fight. . . “

— The Apostle Paul’s last words to young Timothy (2 Tim 4:7)

Have you ever noticed that many of us will pay good money to watch a good fight?  Ultimate Fighting Championships, Iron Man, Indiana Jones, the list goes on and on.  We are intrigued and captivated by watching someone fight for something worth fighting for.

The Apostle Paul fought for the integrity of God’s Word.  I find myself fighting with my flesh and the constant barrage of the wisdom of this world which the BIble says “is foolishness in God’s sight” (1 Cor 3:19).  How about you?  What are you fighting for?

Most good stories have a pivot point where the main character is up against seemingly insurmountable odds.  It is here that courage, faith, and willingness to fight for something of value gets tested and proved.

In our world, marriage is being attacked, prayer and faith are being attacked, and the integrity of God’s Word is constantly being challenged.  I invite you to join with me in a “good fight” as I do my best to speak, write, and teach about the things which have eternal value; namely, God’s Word.  May these writings and adventures inspire you to engage in the battle.

Looking forward to seeing you on the battlefield—
