Some KSDS Puppy Raisers and Graduates recently accepted the challenge of participating in the Kansas City VisionWalk, a bit step in boosting research for retinal degenerative disease, hosted by the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Support our efforts here.
KSDS will also have a booth and will be chatting with people about the benefits of assistance dogs.

A unique opportunity has presented itself to KSDS. We have the chance to reach a very large number of people in a relaxed and fun atmosphere, while raising money for KSDS.

A wonderful opportunity for KSDS guide/service/social graduates to get together and learn new tips to help the teams work together. It’s also a great time to socialize with one another.

FREE Labor Day concert by the Kansas City Symphony, led by Steven Jarvi, assistant conductor. Concert begins at 7 p.m. Parking lot opens at 4:30 pm and gates open at 5 p.m. Instrument Petting Zoo begins at 5:30 p.m. Bring a lawn char, blanket, and dinner. For more information, contact Lisa R.

Puppy Raiser/Graduate Gathering

Merriam Fire House - 10:30 a.m.
Join us for a field trip to a local fire station. It will be a great time of socialization for the dogs. We will get to tour the station and the dogs will get to see a fire fighter in uniform as well as see the trucks and experience the flashing lights. Fire fighters will give tips for safety and we can help education them about assistance dogs.
Then there will be a short break for lunch.

Fall Graduation

KSDS Training Building
Graduation is an opportunity for the public to celebrate the accomplishment of the teams completing training and preparing to enter the world together. Puppy Raisers have the chance to present the new team to the audience. Graduates have the opportunity to share the impact of canine assistance in their lives. Join us for a unique and heartwarming experience.
Tours of the KSDS Canine Housing Unit are available after graduations.
