Okay, so we had so much “fun” (not) renting this house that was up for sale they basically trampled all over our rights. I had to learn California Tenant Law. It was an exciting time and finally the house sells and 3 lawyers later, we get a drunken phone call from the realtor who made our lives a nightmare for the first 6 months of our stay.

 

She broke as many California tenant laws as she possibly could. The letter to her broker was from us letting her know of all the violations that had happened with both the realtors and that we were ready to file suit if it didn’t stop. Forced open houses and lock boxes and threatening with eviction if we didn’t comply. In the future if a house that I am renting or plan on renting is up for sale I’ll walk.
