There are now many billions of pages on the web.
Yet the web browser has not changed substantially since it first appeared 15 years ago. The only real additions would be tabbed browsing and a few other smaller things.
We still interact with the information on the web the same way - through hand made links.
Is it not time to go beyond hand-made links, and make all the text interactive?
Why are not all words implicitly linked to their entry in dictionaries?
Why should it be a chore to email something from the web, - why do you need to go back and forth to copy and paste the text, then the web address and so on.
Why can we not translate text at the flick of a mouse?
How about searching for information, why isn’t that integrated into the text itself? Why can’t you just click and search?
Instead of hyper-links, why not also make all the words hyperwords, truly interactive?
