Let’s travel to Belize and Guatemala to learn about some of the plants and animals found in Central America. We will explore the jungle surrounding Lamanai, Belize during the day and at night. Local naturalists will guide us on a medicine walk, an early morning canoe trip and a night time boat ride during which we’ll see some of the jungle’s nocturnal animals and birds. We will be awakened in the middle of the night by an eerie sound. What animal do you think will be responsible?

We’ll also travel to Tikal, Guatemala to explore the ancient Mayan ruins and see the wildlife living there. Finally we’ll do some snorkeling at Ambergris Caye for our underwater adventure.
