Community occurs two days and Advisory three days out of the six day cycle for the first period of the day. Advisory counts as English credit. In Advisory you:
    •    Establish internships, prepare junior internet portfolios, perform junior and senior exhibitions demonstrating things that you have learned at L.I.F.E. and
Receive any help you need from your respective advisor.
Community is a place where the entire school gets together to discuss just about anything. In Community we vote on important issues in the school; every student contributes to the governance of the L.I.F.E. School. In Community we also do other things like organize field trips to strengthen the schools sense of community, organize projects to help the community at large and discuss important current topics. Some of the things that have been done in Community include the starting of a book club, the organization of multiple barbecues and potluck dinners, and a rather special project where students participated in a car wash to raise funds for an organization called Christian Solidarity International which sends people to Thailand to buy slaves out of captivity. This project was enormously successful and raised five hundred dollars which was enough to free about 15 slaves.
Two things that occur every year are a L.I.F.E. School camping trip in the beginning of the year where students get the opportunity to know and trust each-other; and a trip to the Head-Start Program in Mt. Kisco during the holiday season, where we present gifts to children who are less fortunate than us. Many very positive and enjoyable projects have and will continue to manifest through Community.
