RAINBOWS.

Ancient night and the unruly storm

beat at the walls of my house.

The shadow is all one, the sky

throbs now along with the screaming tempest,

and sky and shadow erupt

in the crash of their vast conflict.

All night long they struggle;

All night long they wrestle

to, wreck all we have stood for

to, mar and blight and maim our beliefs

to, scatter our lights.

It was the end so they say

never we thought will come to-day

Our souls naked, our bodies bare

Our happiness taken, our eyes wetter even more so than the months of may.

Oh How our lives run astray!

But yet even with the tiniest ray of hope, to lord our god we pray

And we pray.

So on the coast comes to light,

out of seething shadow, the harsh dawn alight.

and with dawn came a from afar a beaming blinding ray

from afar came a shining totem of grace

a kaleidoscope of colors, of footprints in the sand, proclaiming LOVE should

conquer all and LOVE should, true love SHOULD conquer all!

Came a rainbow yes it came

clams our heart down like a dame

7 colors many claim,

with one promise it stood the same.

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

hold fast hold fast.

the rainbows rainbows they’ll come.
