The spa at Luhacovice is an architecturally prominent and unique complex of buidings which, from the end of the 19th century throughout the first three decades of the 20th century, have gradually formed the base of the present spa town situated in the east part of Moravia.

On the territory of Luhacovice 16 sodium hydrocarbonate acidulous and one sulphurous spring bubble to the surface. Every hour, 15 thousand litres of mineral water reach the surface here, containing a large amount of dissolved mineral elements, particularly sodium, carbonic acid, dissolved carbon dioxide. The most most famous springs are Vincentka (my grandma’s favorite), Aloiska, and Ottovka.
