Ryans_Room
Just about thirty years ago, in preparation of the birth Ryan Leverenz, Sheila O’Brien and dad-to-be Scott, decorated Ryan’s Room with larger than life cartoon's from Warner Brothers stable of characters. Bugs Bunny, Tasmanian Devil, Tweety, Sylvester, and (not pictured) Yosemite Sam were painted in brilliant colors on all the walls. The room was the quite the envy of the neighborhood kids, as well as Wheezer Society member Neil Sterett.
The last evening we were putting the finishing touches on the paintings, our two dogs, St Bernard (’Reisa) and german shepherd (Lady) happen to dispose of a small band of skunks in the orchard next to the house. Needless to say fragrant smell of freshly killed skunk permeated the entire house. Paula and I had to spend the night at her parents. It was real fun giving Reisa a bath in tomato juice to clean the smell off her. I wish we had some photos of THAT one.
