Merry Christmas/Happy New Year!
Hi there...
First off, Happy Christmas/Happy New Year! It´s certainly been a while since I´ve actually updated my page (sorry about that... :( ) and I will make an effort to be more on top of things in the future. For now though, sit back and enjoy my list of goings-on of the past two-and some months. :)
November:
- Went for the first time to the Porsche dealership and spent about 2 hours there with Corvin, Silke, Samuel, Leah, Rajko and Shirley (Corvin´s colleague and Rajko´s girlfriend) . Sat in many of the cars. It was wonderful! :) Also went out to Ikea with R&S and had a snowball fight.
- Finished David Copperfield. Was rather sad to have finished it as I had become “friends” with the characters. :) Great read.
- Dad came to visit!! We had a wonderful time wandering around Munich together, had a yummy dinner at Spatenhaus (one of my favorite restaurants in Munich), and explored Manufactum. Also saw Russel Crowe´s “A Good Year”. (Cute movie...was Crowe´s version of “Under the Tuscan Sun” and was entirely predictable, but was fun to sit through. :) It was also fun to go rushing about in the Mercedes after dark :)
- Had a wonderful weekend showing McGarrity (Jojo) and Brittany Whittaker around Munich. We went to Nymphenburg, wandered around Munich together, and watched some fun movies. Saw “The Great Race” for the first time. It´s Brilliant!!! (The old version, with Jack Lemmon.)
-Dad and Andy came back and stayed with us for 2 days and then headed down to Garmisch to go skiing. It was a treat seeing Andy again after almost 7 months, and enjoyed wandering the Christkindlmarkts with them and also did some baking. Sam and Andy really hit it off, too. :)
December:
-Ally came to visit me Dec. 4-18! We had a fabulous time, traveling on the weekends to both Berlin and Gastein. We also met up with Andy and Dad in Garmisch and went skiing on the Zugspitze for a day. Ally and Samuel also hit it off, and he still talks about her. :)
- Finished Wuthering Heights, not one of my favorite books, but a “classic”, and one I had wanted to read for a while. Was rather happy when I had finished it.
- Started Bleak House
- Had 2 days to pack, clean the apartment, do about an hour of Christmas shopping, and then....
- Headed Home!! Had a wonderful time with my family, spent time with Kimmy and Beth, shopped with Mom and Dad, and “puzzled” with Nana (our family tradition at Christmas). Also enjoyed doing some cooking with Nana.
January
- Had a wonderful visit with Brian and his family! :) It was great to see them after so long, and had a lot of good talks, saw “The Prestige” and “The Good Shepherd”, as well as some old British shows. Did some baking with Gigi, and enjoyed playing games with the family. :) What a wonderful visit. :)
-Was mistaken for Jill Carroll in Church. Funny Story... :)
-Had a few more days at home before heading back to Munich, and had a fun sleepover with Kimmy. :)
-Flew back to Munich!
-Met up with Lenore and Shelley and wandered around town with them a bit. :)
- Updated my website!!! :)
I´ll work on being more up-to-date with my website, as it is one of my New Year´s Resolutions... :) Well see how this goes!
