Beginning of the End

... he’s dead Jim.

So after charging up the batteries all night my wife, Renee, and I decided to take it for a test run down to the coffee shop. I left the car charging overnight--it didn’t shut off on it’s own so either there are some problems with the batteries, or the charger needs to be calibrated.

It doesn’t seem like I have low speed so the initial start is kind of a jerk. In fact, the whole start seemed quite jerky so we stopped at the end of the driveway. Renee wasn’t sure about this whole business, so I suggested we put the car back. I try putting the car in reverse and press on the gas--nothing. I notice the lights don’t seem to be working, forward doesn’t seem to work. And then we notice a burning smell.

I pull out the seat and look and smell for the problem--can’t really figure it out, so we push it back down the driveway and took the regular car to the coffee shop.
Its worse than that...
