About Alena Horowitz
Hey, what’s up guys?
My name is Alena Horowitz, I was born in Rockport Massachusetts on June 1st 1992, making me 16 years young. On my sixth birthday, my family and I had already began our journey across the U.S. in our motor-home to search for a new peaceful place to live--We found Sandpoint Idaho, a quaint little village in the panhandle of Northern Idaho. This is where some of the best memories of my childhood were formed. I went to the Sandpoint Waldorf School from 1st grade to 8th grade.
That class of only 12 or so children all learning together, playing together, doing everything together, from fights over boys and sleep-overs, we became the best of friends over the years. I love them all so much!! During my time there I wrote the children’s book ‘The Tlytiettlym Tree’ (which is an acronym for The Love You Take Is Equal To The Love You Make--Beatles song) check it out at: healthyworlddistributing.com
Anyways, in the middle of 4th grade my parents fell in love with Pahoa Hawaii, where half a year later they moved the whole family (My mom, my younger sister (14) my younger brother (9) and I). I home schooled, so we went back and forth between Idaho and Hawaii to see my old friends.
I didn’t go to school in Hawaii until this past year, when I went to Hilo High school, I absolutely loved it there! I was thriving and growing, making many new friends by the second. My first quarter grade I got straight A’s, and just when I moved to varsity cross-country, (top 7 in a school of 2,500) I was kicked out for refusing the mandated TB test for religous reasons.
Since then (October 1st) I have been home schooling, again, and just as we were about to leave Hawaii almost forever I realized how many good friends I have in Hawaii, I will really miss them all!! But, like they say, “You don’t know what you got ‘till it’s gone”.
Now my sister, dad and I have been traveling around on the mainland for the last two months. I really want to get big in acting, modeling and singing, so my mom says it is a possability that we will be moving to California this year!! YAY!!
Love Ya!
