The Day After the House Slab Pour
The Day After the House Slab Pour
Angelo wasted no time in making himself at home on the new slab this morning. It’s cured enough to support his weight, but I’m not allowing people on it until another couple of days have passed.
I slept. I am awake. I’m still smiling. I’ve posted more photos of the slab pouring here.
Now I’m putting some perspective on the day.
Materials in the slab:
•About 1400 feet of PEX underslab heating pipe
•About 800 feet of conduit
•About 1500 square feet of underslab insulation
•45 cubic yards of 3500 psi concrete
•Nearly 2000 square feet of remesh
•More than 800 feet of rebar
It looks beautiful this morning. A good foundation, for a home, for a life in the middle of the wilderness.
More photos of the pour are available here.
God is good to me, and so are my friends. Thanks to everyone who played a part in getting this far.
