A series of map drawings in skywriting smoke, mirroring geographic and archaeological features on the Earth below

Sky Projects

The North-South and East-West axes of the city plan are laid out, for orientation
Locations of conical mounds indicated by spirals drawn directly above them
Round platform mound locations are marked by circles
Contours of irregular shaped mounds are traced in the sky
The Woodhenge area is marked by circles of dashes
Three Woodhenges were drawn, as there were three consecutive structures

First the West bank was drawn, flying
     downstream, then the East, upstream.

A tractor tills marks into the Earth, while
the skywriting plane attempts to trace

A map drawn the sky over the bicycle path
in Forest Park, St. Louis, MO, as cyclists
     ride below.
Making the Invisible Visible
Skywriting smoke lines, across a river with
islands, become a medium upon which
     convection currents manifest themselves.
Skyway Highway
A skywriting airplane travels around the
loops of a cloverleaf highway interchange.
