Abstractions of a Changing Land

My work comes from living close to the land. We shape it and change the plants creating great swaths of a single color, we abandon it, then reclaim it; we change its purpose to fit our desires. Each of these paintings chronicles my reaction to a moment of change recently observed.  These moments flash by urging me to pay attention.
