The story of how I was granted access to Ground Zero about a month after 9-11 is a story in itself. I took many photos over two days, and some were taken in the evening, when the cleanup efforts did not cease. They worked 24-7 on the massive job.
* Some of the photos show faces in the smoldering mist that rose up at night. Some will give you chills at the human features, while many others have ghost-like images with two eyes and a mouth. Every time I look at them, I see more, even all these years later. Click for a closer look... I’ve added some with red circles around the faces or skeletons.
