boy’s training camp - 2009

Announcing boys Training Camp (bTC08) set for Dallas

boys Training Camp Number 8 (bTC08) is scheduled for August 28-30, 2009 in Dallas, Texas.  The educational camps are designed for those who identify in a submissive role regardless of age, gender or sexual orientation.

The original boys Training Camp concept was conceived by Master Jim Glass, Master Doug Harris and the late Master Dean Walradt.  Most of the camps were under the direction of Master Dean and sponsored by Leathernetwork.  With the passing of Master Dean in 2004, the Headmaster responsibilities and ownership of boys Training Camp were given to Master Z of Dallas under the sponsorship of the Texas Leather Tribe (TLT).

During boys Training Camp the participants interact with experienced faculty as well as the other attendees who are of like mind and heart with varying degrees of experience.  Previous camp attendees included slaves, boys, bois, girls, and puppies, all learning from each other and enjoying the energy generated by the participants.

The Camp begins on Friday evening with Registration and a series of discussions that set the tone for the weekend.  There is also a reception with a Keynote Speaker.

Saturday continues with facilitated discussions in both large and small groups.  There are also hands-on skill workshops and demonstrations.  The finale and highlight of Saturday is the opportunity for the attendees to participate in and/or observe some dungeon play during “Stations of the Cross”.  This activity allows all the participants the opportunity to experience different BDSm play at whatever level of involvement they feel comfortable, in a safe and secure environment.

The final day on Sunday begins with a brunch and more facilitated discussion in both large and small groups.  A very popular part of the weekend is the “boy/boi rap session” that concludes with a Q&A involving the faculty. Closing ceremonies that evening include awards and recognition.

The number of attendees at boys Training Camp is limited so be sure to register early.  Information on bTC08 can be found on the following website www.tribalproductions.org  or by contacting the HeadMaster at:  TXMasterZ@sbcglobal.net

IPup Dallas - 2009

Dallas, TX (September 25-27, 2009) International Puppy & Trainer Conference has returned for another year with Beyond Vanilla.   We were happy to join with National Leather Association Dallas to present another iPup.

The weekend is shaping up quickly! Our presenters will be Vic Silverpaw, teaching Pup101, Master Nitemare teaching Challenges in Care and Ownership of Human Puppies, Angel teaching Inner Animal, Daddy Frank teaching Puppy Training - Putting the Fun in Teaching New Tricks, and Sir Kenneth (class pending).

We are adding a couple of new items to this year's fun.  First is a movie night where we can all gather in the classroom with the mats laid out and pillows and watch a dog themed movie.  We are also working on a Saturday night dinner with games at Dave & Busters (pending) - a game card will be included in the price of your iPup admission.

If you are a pup and attending, feel free to sign up for the Adopt-A-Pup program where you can be "adopted" for some play time at the mosh pit or be taken on walkies through the hotel and vendor mart. Or maybe you would prefer to sign up to assist with the Morning Fetch service, where human pups provide a wake-up service to the iPup and Beyond Vanilla hotel guests along with coffee if requested.

PupOut.com is once again sponsoring mosh pits so all the pups and handlers can get in some play time, as well as giving the curious something to keep them amused!

Don't forget that your admission allows you also to attend the vendor fair and to bid on the silent auction items that are sponsored by Beyond Vanilla.

Our host hotel is once again the Sterling Hotel. For those not familiar, the Sterling IS pet friendly. The Mezzanine level is strictly dedicated to iPup and Beyond Vanilla. You can bring your canine, as well as walk around the hotel on all 4's. Yes, some others will look at you funny... but isn't that fun too? For those with pets, there is plenty of grass around the hotel for walks, but no dog run.
