I hope to work with students in a few after school technology clubs this year. Something new-we will explore Podcasting-a kind of retro radio production that incorporates the latest technology-allowing students to post them online as a downloadable MP3 file.
The iMovie club, in it’s 6th year, will continue to help students produce and edit original movies. This club has allowed many Bellair students to compete in local and regional film competitions. A third club will help student photographers record classroom activities digitally for our own school yearbook.
Parents may contribute to these clubs through the Arizona School Tax Credit Program. Please ask me or any classroom teacher about the ways this wonderful state program can help fund extra-curricular activities for our school. You may divide your donation any way you prefer, to spread the ‘wealth” and support more than one activity. Then you are able to deduct your donation amount from your state tax payment. In the past, tax credit donations have helped us buy technology software and hardware.
